Claus Lundekvam is a Norwegian former footballer who spent most of his career at the Southampton English Club. Lundekvam began his career with Norwegian team Brann before moving to English side Southampton in 1996 where he played until his retirement in 2008. He was the team's first choice for captain for several years. He made a total of 413 appearances for the club where 290 was in the Premier league, making him the Norwegian with the most appearances in the league. Lundekvam was capped 40 times for Norway and often captained the national team.
Lundekvam was working regularly as a pundit for TV2, the largest commercial broadcaster in Norway.
Claus has worked for almost 5 years in psychiatry for the Psychiatric Alliance, at Kronstad DPS, as a sports consultant and as a life experience consultant. Every week he facilitates physical activity and socialization for users.
The most unique thing about the Psychiatric Alliance is that all employees and coaches have personal experience and/or relatives' experience in psychiatry and drugs addiction. Claus himself says he has good experience of drawing user expertise into relationship building with users.
Today, Claus feels grateful and privileged to be able to use his personal experience to help and provide a better life for others. He is dedicated to giving lectures on his life. In 2015 he published his autobiography "En Kamp Til"; a tremendously honest book about his life as a soccer professional and as a drug addict.
With great pleasure, humility and enthusiasm he becomes an ambassador for Kokoon, in this important work.
